Reservation Requirements in 2024
A reservation is required from 5 am to 4 pm on some dates from April 13 through October 27, 2024. April 13–June 30: weekends and holidays only. July 1–August 16: Daily. August 17– October 27: weekends and holidays only.

Required to drive into Yosemite on weekends and holidays
A reservation is required to drive into or through Yosemite National Park between 5 am and 4 pm on weekends and holidays.
Exceptions
If you have an in-park camping, lodging, or vacation rental reservation, a Half Dome permit or wilderness permit reservation, or are entering via regional transit or authorized tour groups, you do not need an additional reservation.

A reservation will be required to drive into or through Yosemite National Park every day from 5 am to 4 pm from July 1 through August 16.

Choosing an Entrance Pass
Do you have or qualify for a discounted America the Beautiful Pass?
If you already have an America the Beautiful—the NationalParks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass, that's the only entrancepass you need. Seniors, military, visitors with a permanentdisability, and families with a 4th grader are eligible for a freeor discounted America the Beautiful pass.

Standard Entrance Pass

We accept major credit cards and mobile payment services (we do not accept cash) when you arrive. Online purchase of entrance fees is not available.All park entrances (except Hetch Hetchy) are open 24 hours per day. If the entrance station is unstaffed when you arrive, you can pay on the way out.America the Beautiful—National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Annual Passes do cover park entrance fees (but not reservation requirements or fees if they are in place).
This fee is valid for three consecutive days for a non-commercial car, pickup truck, RV, or van with 15 or fewer passenger seats. This fee covers the vehicle and everyone inside of it. (This fee is valid for seven consecutive days when a reservation isn't required.)

For Organizations & Businesses
An educational fee waiver is available for educational and scientific groups that are accredited or tax-exempt for educational purposes planning a trip for educational or scientific purposes related to Yosemite that is not primarily recreational.

The fee is $25 plus $20 per person, not to exceed $105. This fee is valid for seven consecutive days. A commercial use authorization is required.

America the Beautiful Passes are non-refundable, non-transferableand cannot be replaced if lost or stolen. Passholders must showvalid photo identification (ID) with each pass.

2024 Free Entrance Days in the National Parks
Come experience the national parks! All National Park Service sites that charge an entrance fee will offer free admission to everyone (other fees may apply). Mark your calendar for these entrance fee-free dates:
- Monday, January 15 — Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
- Saturday, April 20 — First Day of National Park Week
- Wednesday, June 19 — Juneteenth
- Sunday, August 4 — The Great American Outdoors Act
- Saturday, September 28 — National Public Lands Day
