The online version of Mǽrstánas has been updated to the most recent ruleset. Users can now play 2-player (local) games using version 0.4 while still enjoying 1- and 2-player games with the previous version. My next step will be to update the computer opponent to handle the new rules. Tech-wise, the game uses #Python with #Flask on the backend. Standard HTML is used on the front with #Bootstrap for styling.What's Mǽrstánas, you ask? It's is a free libre open source abstract strategy game I created. Gameplay involves players alternately placing stones within the squares of a 7x7 grid with the goal of creating connection points between their own pieces.
